TYPE OF CERTIFICATES
Certificate Application (officers): This means documentation issued by the General Directorate of Seafarers for masters, officers, and GMDSS radio operators in accordance with the provisions of chapters II, III, and IV of the STCW'78 Convention, as amended. This option will display two (2) types of documents: Title and Seaman's book.
Certificate Application (ratings): This means documentation issued by the General Directorate of Seafarers for ratings in accordance with the national provisions and in compliance with the STCW'78 Convention, as amended. This option will display one (1) type of document: Seaman's book.
Certificate Endorsement: Means documentation issued by the General Directorate of Seafarers in accordance with regulation I/10 of the STCW'78 Convention, as amended, for masters, officers, and GMDSS Radio Operators, which attests the recognition of a certificate of competence, issued in accordance with Regulation I/2 by a State Party that the IMO considers has given full and complete effect to the provisions concerning the STCW'78 Convention, as amended, after of having guarantee its authenticity and validity in compliance of the prescriptions of the STCW'78 Convention, as amended. This option will display two (2) types of documents: Title and Seaman's book.
Course Endorsement: Documental evidence issued by the General Directorate of Seafarers, which recognizes the validity of a Certificate of Proficiency, issued by a State Party of STCW Convention, as amended, by a Maritime Training Center recognized by a State Party or by a Maritime Training Center recognized by the General Directorate of Seafarers of the Panama Maritime Authority. This option can display three (3) types of documents: COP (Certificate of proficiency), RCOP (Recognition of a certificate of proficiency), or endorsement.
Duplicate: Re-issued document from the first one with the same parameter and validity due to theft, loss, deterioration of exhaustion of pages.
